In Fall 2019, Pika raised just over $1000 for Gallastar Farms. Gallastar Farms is an animal rescue farm in our local Charlottesville community that also does therapeutic horseback riding for children with disabilities. Pika also continues to support and raise money for Special Olympics.
The Alpha chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity has been motivated to improve and evolve on a variety of facets. The chapter started off 2020 with a successful recruitment. The new pledge class is a diverse, involved, and promising group, coming from a variety of different backgrounds. Members of Pi Kappa Alpha have remained dedicated to the Charlottesville community during the covid-19 outbreak, delivering meals to first responders. The chapter is looking forward to a fall semester that will continue our commitment to support Gallastar Farms and Special Olympics. Furthermore, the chapter is very excited to return to our newly renovated chapter house this fall at 513 Rugby Road. The brothers are looking to improve alumni and national involvement, and the chapter is looking forward to continued progress.
