Since its founding at the University of Virginia in 1859, the brothers of the Alpha Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity have shown their dedication to UVA and the greater Charlottesville community through academic excellence, volunteer efforts, athletic involvement, and social engagements. This past fall, we were thrilled to be able to raise over $3,400 between our annual ‘Hoodang’ philanthropy event for the Ronald McDonald House and our first ever ‘Art For the Kids’ art auction benefitting Camp Kesem. Our brothers continue to lead and be involved with various volunteer and charity opportunities – and the chapter raised the most money of any Greek organization for both Alpha Phi’s Heart Health Week and the annual Pancakes for Parkinson event.
This coming year promises to be another excellent one for Chi Phi. We are coming off of another successful rush, and are excited to welcome 28 new members into the brotherhood, the Chapter’s most successful rush in history. The newly elected executive board has begun serving in their positions. We are looking forward to another strong year for the Chapter and what the future holds.
